Elliptigo Epic Labor Day ride – Julian 2019

My annual Epic Labor Day ride took us to Julian. Located in the mountains east of San Diego, we rode to Ramona and then back to Santee. The day started with warmer than normal temps in the mountain of about 66 degrees and quickly elevated to the 80’s an hour later when we got into Ramona. It just kept getting hotter as my Garmin was recording temps up to 102. I think the actual temp was more like 95 but also consider we had nothing but sun beating down on us.

The ride was 58 miles and was marred by our transportation truck having brake problems on it’s way down the mountain. All in all though, definitely an Epic ride.
